Air Patrol’s Medical Brigade visits Puerto Asis

Puerto Asis, Putumayo – Showing our commitment to contribute to the well-being and health of our neighbors in Putumayo, we arranged for the Colombian Civil Air Patrol’s Medical Brigade to visit Puerto Asis.

During the first week of September a team of health professionals attended more than 410 people in specializations such as pediatrics, optometry, dermatology and radiology. This is the second time that the Air Patrol has been to Puerto Asis in 2022; in February we promoted the first medical drive of the year that performed over 760 consultations, issued 275 pairs of glasses and installed 31 dental prostheses, among other highlights.

“Ensuring the well-being of people in Putumayo shows our commitment to contribute to the well-being and health of the communities neighboring the Company’s operations,” Neighbor Relations Coordinator Mayrene Forero said. “We thank the Puerto Asis Mayor’s Office and the local hospital for their support in the coordination of this medical drive and the Colombian Civil Air Patrol for accompanying us once again in the goal of promoting the quality of life of the inhabitants of the territories where we operate.”

“We are very happy to be able to come with La nueva Amerisur to Putumayo department and have two brigades visit Puerto Asis in 2022,” Civil Air Patrol general director Pamela Estrada added. “With these medical drives, we have given free medical care of the highest quality to more than 1,000 people.”

As a company committed to sustainable development, we will continue to implement these kinds of initiatives that promote the well-being and quality of life of our neighboring communities.
