To promote quality education in Colombian regions and promote respect for children’s fundamental rights to recreation, we helped adapt and equip the toy library in Cabuyaro, Meta. This renovated space will give our youngest neighbors the opportunity to learn through playing.
In coordination with the Cabuyaro Mayor’s Office, we allocated more than 160 million pesos to buy teaching materials, furniture and other supplies that ensure the proper functioning of the learning center.
“Thank you to the Cabuyaro Mayor’s Office for the trust placed in GeoPark to make improvements to a learning center, a project that will have a significant impact on the lives of more than 2,000 children in the municipality,” our Neighbor Relations Coordinator Miguel Angel Contreras said. “We are very pleased to be given the opportunity to partner in building a fairer, more equitable and inclusive society,” he continued, adding that this type of project represents new opportunities to contribute to improving the living conditions of the population.
We hope to continue developing our hydrocarbon exploration and production activities, and advance in the implementation of projects that contribute to sustainable development in Colombia and the regions we operate in.
