We work closely with our neighboring communities and local authorities to fulfill commitments, strengthen dialogue and deliver projects that contribute to the development and well-being of Casanare.
Between April and June 2025:
- We held 51 community meetings and received 670 visitors to our Cuéntame offices, consolidating opportunities for dialogue and active listening.
- More than 100 people participated in Environmental Transparency meetings that we held to provide information about our operations and environmental management in the Llanos 34 and Llanos 87 blocks.
- We supported local development, employing more than 1,260 people of which 83% were local. More than 50 local companies have active contracts to supply us with goods and services.
- We reached 98% completion in the construction of the Caribayona sewerage system and wastewater treatment plant, and we cut the tape on 17.5 km of repairs to the La Vara – Soceagro road in Villanueva.
- Through the Works for Taxes mechanism, we are developing rural energy projects, providing 39 schools with equipment, and have committed to invest over 25 billion pesos in new education and road projects.
- We continued supporting education: 20 young people are studying at UNAD and 5 women from Casanare are currently studying STEM subjects, promoting gender equality.
- We activated our humanitarian aid plan, providing more than 100 emergency kits for winter.
- We provided more than 450 free of charge medical consultations and surgical procedures in Tauramena, in partnership with the Colombian Civil Air Patrol.
- We contributed more than 150,000 records of flora and fauna to the Biodiversity Information System (SiB Colombia) and celebrated the return of the giant otter to Tauramena, the result of ecosystem conservation actions.
We continue to develop initiatives that help improve living conditions, strengthen economic growth in the region, and promote environmentally sustainable projects that benefit communities.
