Meta
July 2, 2025

We work closely with our neighboring communities and local authorities to fulfill commitments, strengthen dialogue and deliver projects that contribute to the development and well-being of Meta.

Between April and June 2025:

  • We held 63 community meetings, promoting spaces of trust, active listening and collaborative development.
  • We spent more than 100 hours with entrepreneurs, strengthening our relationship with the local productive sector.
  • We supported local development, employing 245 people of whom 86% were local. We had active goods and services supply contracts with 14 local companies.
  • We reached 51% completion in the construction of the Orinoquia Regional Monitoring Center, in partnership with IDEAM.
  • We announced our first Works for Taxes project in Puerto Gaitan, allocating 1.74 billion pesos to provide cultural implements to 7 schools in the municipality.
  • We provided materials to optimize the water supply system in the village of Viso de Upia, Cabuyaro, as part of our commitment to basic services in rural areas.
  • We activated our humanitarian aid plan, coordinating with local authorities to provide more than 100 emergency kits for winter
  • We contributed more than 150,000 records to the Colombian Biodiversity Information System (SiB Colombia), as part of the flora and fauna monitoring programs that we have undertaken since 2022.

We continue to develop initiatives that help improve living conditions, strengthen economic growth in the region, and promote environmentally sustainable projects that benefit communities.
